Thompson Unit 181
Thompson Auxiliary members, essay winners, and educator from Central Valley High School
Central Valley High School and Thompson Auxiliary Unit 181 partnered together for all students to participate in the 2023 Americanism Essay Contest. The Auxiliary read through essays from the students of Central Valley and picked a winner to receive a $50 award as well as advance on to state. They also selected three honorable mentions to advance to state. The essay title was “What does patriotism mean to you?”. There were three different classes with requirements of 350 to 500 words in their essays. The first place awards were given to Kaileb Johnson, Megan Ensign, and Jacob Brandt. Honorable Mentions were awarded to Emily Smith, Brynley Lessard, Joseph Thompson, and Collin Higgins.
