The story of Lillian McKnight, one of the nurses featured in the book “North Dakota Nurses Over There 1917-1919”, can be found on the following site: roadstothegreatwar-ww1.blogspot.com (Feb 26, 2018). Lillian McKnight was a nurse from Cavalier County and was awarded the British decoration ‘Royal Red Cross’ for her work in France during World War 1.
