Past Presidents Parley Members.
1. Past Presidents Parley dues are $5.00 per year and are due by December 31 of each year. The funds are used for the Parley’s nursing scholarship program. Parley Nursing Scholarships are awarded each year and announced at the Department Convention.
2. Please send your unit’s Past Presidents Parley dues along with a list of your past unit presidents to the Department Office for processing. The list is recorded and maintained by the Parley Secretary.

2026 Unit Member of the Year

Elaine Lange, a 38-year member of American Legion Auxiliary Fred C. Wagner Unit 235 of Rolla is the 2026 Unit Member of the Year. She was nominated for this honor by Lynn Tomlinson, Past Department Historian, and fellow members of Unit 235.
Elaine’s nomination reflects recognition of her indomitable spirit and her willingness to assist wherever the need is most evident. At ninety-one years of age, Elaine remains an active, dependable, and inspiring member, continuing her dedicated service to the Auxiliary, our veterans, and the Rolla community.
Thank you, Elaine, and congratulations on this well-deserved honor. We are proud of you.

2027 Nursing Scholarship application for disbursement during the 2027-2028 academic year
This scholarship application packet is due by April 1st, 2027, and is paid out during the spring of 2028. It is awarded to a worthy applicant that is pursuing a degree in the nursing field. Affiliation with a veteran is required. Affiliation with the North Dakota American Legion family is required in some cases. The scholarship award is in the amount of $500.

2027 Dr. Grace Holmes, MD, Nursing Scholarship application for disbursement during the 2027-2028 academic year
Proceeds from the sale of Dr. Holmes book ‘North Dakota Nurses Over There, 1917-1919’ are being used for the $1,000 scholarship to worthy applicants pursuing a degree in the nursing field. Due date is April 1st, 2027, and the scholarship money will be disbursed in the spring of 2027. Affiliation with a veteran is required. Affiliation with the North Dakota American Legion family is required in some cases.
