Hankinson Bingo Fundraiser
BINGO!
That was the sound I heard the afternoon of Saturday, January 18. Members of Eberhard Post 88 of Hankinson along with Sons of American Legion and Auxiliary teamed up to serve over 100 people with fun and food.
People started pouring in around 11 AM for the opportunity to enjoy a bowl of hot chili and dessert prepared by members. This was followed by Bingo games, meat raffles, and 50/50 raffles. While people were concentrating on winning that $4500 grand prize, the Auxiliary was busy serving food and visiting with all who came through the line. A table to promote membership was set up with several people picking up the information and inquiring about how to join. We are excited to find out how many will decide to join the Legion and the Auxiliary.
This was a great event that promoted our mission and helped raise funds.

Hankinson Supports Suicide Awareness Program
On July 24, 2024, members of American Legion Auxiliary Eberhard Unit 88 of Hankinson donned “BE THE ONE” t-shirts to raise money for this important suicide awareness program. The event was held at the local Farmers Market in Hankinson city park. We served foot-long hot dogs with all the trimmings, potato salad, chips, cookies and water for a free-will offering.
The beautiful weather brought many people out to support this important program and to spend time together visiting. More than $600.00 was raised for the “BE THE ONE” suicide awareness project.
