I encourage all Unit Officers to attend our 2026 Department Convention in Fargo this summer. Even better, bring interested members from your units! It is such a fun time as we gather to talk about how we support our veterans, listen to the Legion Band, enjoy great food, vote on Department leadership, and meet new people. It is so important for leadership in the units to understand how the Department works, as well as meet Department Officers that can help them throughout the year.

I am running for a third term as your Department Treasurer and hope that I can count on your support. The last two years have been so interesting as we have been able to convert our State Life Members to PUFL membership, as well as clean up the books to present GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) compliant cash-basis financial statements. I really appreciate my predecessor, Sonnie Otto, for her good work to get this process started.

Thank you for your dedication and support for the veterans! It’s always so important to remember and revisit why we are here – what our purpose is – as we plan for activities and supporting programs for the year.
