Let’s Recognize our Gold Star Families!

Gold Star HonorGold Star families are those who have lost a loved one in the line of duty. This includes, but is not limited to, those who died in WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

Gold Star recognition dates back to WWI when blue stars were displayed in honor of a family member serving in the Armed Forces. A family would display a gold star if the family member was lost in the war.

In an effort to recognize these families, a metal Gold Star Plaque can be made and displayed on the grave site. These plaques, along with the stakes, can be purchased for $35 each plus standard shipping from Midwest Metal Art of Elgin, North Dakota.

Visit Midwest Metal Art at www.midwestmetalart.com or call their office at: (701) 870-1703.

Let’s make sure Gold Star families receive the recognition they deserve.
