Convention Contest for Year 250
2026 is America’s 250th Birthday! Let’s celebrate America and the Auxiliary’s Poppy Program at the 2026 Department Convention. Sandra Petermann, Northwestern Division Poppy Chairman along with Carol Wolf and Cheryl Gustafson, Department Poppy Co-Chairmen, invite members of the American Legion Family to enter the ‘Art Exhibit’ at this year’s Department Convention. The only caveat is: the art piece must be original, the theme is “America’s 250th Birthday” and you must incorporate poppies in your work. Enter a colorful poster, painting, quilt, a garment or hat, or other art piece. The more patriotic, the better. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.
