Carrington Helps Veterans During Christmas

John Raymond O’Hara Unit 25 of Carrington sponsored a Christmas Gala Supper for veterans, national guard and their families at the Chieftain Conference Center in December. With assistance from the Carrington VFW Auxiliary, they served over 50 attendees. Skylar Patzer entertained the audience with music and Christmas melodies. Marlene Boyer, Unit President, served as hostess for the evening and enjoyed visiting with and welcoming everyone who attended.
The ALA and VFW Auxiliary members teamed up for another community project. They prepared Christmas packages for the ten veterans/spouses at Golden Acres Nursing Home. Homemade cookies, candies, muffins, dried fruit and other yummy goodies filled the packages. Marlene Boyer, Bernice Sandvol and Judy Keller delivered the packages and enjoyed visiting with everyone.
